Stinky Terry…
Today, started my deep dive into Sourdough bread making after seeing my Mom, Wife, and Uncle all have a fun time with it. As with anything in my life, I decided too go too deep too quickly and went to the most complicated place I could. I found “The perfect loaf”, by Maurizio Leo. Once I found out he was a software engineer made baker, the fact that his technical approach appealed to me made much more sense.
Today I spent almost 10 hours working on this as I made mistakes, and learned along the way…..I hope. I had a blast doing it, although I think Christy just wonders why I am this way.
I’m only to the point of an 18 hour proof in the fridge tonight so pictures of my dough will have to do for now. Terry is the name of the woman who was kind enough to give us the first little bit of starter, and it’s stinky, so this chapter will be called, “Andy’s adventures with Stinky Terry.”
